Three trucks, sixty days, free
I'm looking for a small number of Chicago-area carriers to build this with. You keep every dollar it recovers. I get to find out whether I'm right about a problem I've only ever read about. When the pilots are full, this offer goes away and doesn't come back.
You get the recoveries. I get the education.
That's the actual exchange, and it's worth being blunt about it. You aren't doing me a favor and I'm not doing you one. Both sides get something they can't get alone.
What you get
- Detention watched on two or three of your trucks for about 60 days
- Broker notice sent inside the contractual window, GPS attached
- An evidence packet built on every event, whether you file it or not
- 100% of anything it recovers, with no fee, no percentage, and no invoice at the end
- A straight number on day 60: what got caught, what got filed, what got paid
What I ask for
- Rate cons for the loads in scope, because that's where the terms come from
- An API token you generate in your own ELD dashboard, revokable any time
- One or two denied claims from the last few months, redacted however you like
- A short call when something breaks, and the honest version of what went wrong
- If it works: permission to cite the fleet size and the dollar figure. Your name only if you're comfortable.
Nothing dramatic happens.
A call and a token
Twenty or thirty minutes on how detention actually goes at your fleet, then you generate an ELD API token and pick two or three trucks to put in scope.
It runs on real loads
Rate cons come in, the clock runs, notices go out inside the window, packets get built. You approve anything that leaves. I fix what breaks, and things will break.
The honest number
What it caught, what got filed, what got paid, and what it missed. If the number isn't there, I'll say so plainly instead of asking you for another 60 days.
Who this fits
- 5 to 50 trucks, with the sweet spot around 12 to 35
- Interstate general freight, especially reefer, produce, beverage, or intermodal, where the dock waits are worst
- You run Motive, Samsara, Geotab, or another ELD with a real API
- Someone at your shop, you or your ops manager, can give this a few minutes a week
Who it doesn't fit yet
- A budget ELD with no usable API. The evidence has to be reachable or none of this works.
- Dedicated or drop-and-hook operations where the truck almost never sits.
- Fleets that have already solved detention, though honestly I'd still like that call. You'd be the exception and I want to know how you did it.
Free has terms, in both directions.
Free means free. There's no invoice at the end, no percentage waiting, and nothing to sign that costs you money. It doesn't mean casual. I need real loads and real rate cons to build against, so if a pilot goes quiet I'll close it out and move on rather than let it drag for six months. Same rule in reverse: if it isn't recovering anything by day 60, you'll hear that from me before you have to ask.
What happens after day 60?
If it worked, we talk about keeping it running, most likely as a straight percentage of what actually gets recovered, so you never pay for a month that didn't collect anything. But that's a conversation for day 60 with a real number on the table, not a price I'm going to quote you now. If it didn't work, you got a free experiment and I got an education, and we shake hands.
Your ELD data stays yours. The token you issue is scoped to the trucks in the pilot, it's revokable in one click from your own dashboard, and nothing goes to a broker without your approval.
